Meet Our Doctors
Dr. Steven Henseler, a native of Appleton, Wisconsin, graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology. Steve completed his DDS degree at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry with high distinction. Steve went on for an additional two years to receive his Orthodontic Specialty Certificate and complete his Master of Science Degree at the U of M Orthodontic Residency Program. He has been practicing orthodontics since 1995.
As an Invisalign® Provider, Smiles Change Lives Provider and Give Kids a Smile participant, Dr. Henseler is dedicated to staying on the cutting-edge of the latest advancements in orthodontics. Dr. Henseler has excelled in his specialty as an active member of the American Dental Association, Minnesota Dental Association, LD Pankey Study Club and the St. Paul District Dental Society. He is a former clinical instructor at the U of M Orthodontic Department and has served as the President of the Minnesota Association of Orthodontists. He has also completed advanced education, written examination and evaluation of many select orthodontic treatments.
Dr. Steven Henseler has recently earned the status of Diplomate by the American Board of Orthodontics. Board certification signifies the clinical proficiency of a dental specialist according to the procedures established by the individual specialty, under the rules and authority of the Council on Dental Education of the American Dental Association.
He is active in his community as an annual sponsor of the Woodbury Safety Camp, WAA Soccer and Boy Scouts of America, as well as supports numerous local schools and various youth organizations.
Dr. Henseler and his wife Dr. Julie Henseler currently reside in Woodbury with their sons, Ethan and Nicholas. Steve’s leisure time activities include running and golf. The Henseler’s are avid Wisconsin Badger and Green Bay Packer fans.
Dr. Henseler has recently been chosen for the sixth consecutive vote as MPLS/St. Paul Magazine’s Top orthodontist. He continuously strives to provide the highest standard of orthodontic care possible.
Meet Our Staff
Hi, my name is Shannon Rode. I am one of the Scheduling Coordinators at Henseler Orthodontics. I joined the Henseler team in 2008. I feel fortunate to work in such a fun atmosphere and am proud to be associated with this wonderful office! Dr. Henseler is a thoughtful orthodontist and a fabulous person to work for. All of the “girls” in the office are great and have become treasured friends. I enjoy the customer service aspect of my job and love chatting with patients and parents and seeing the progress to their “lifetime of smiles”.
I have lived in Woodbury for over 14 years with my husband, Phil, and our two children, Sam and Max. In my spare time I enjoy photography, working out, going for walks and spending time with family and friends.
Hello, my name is Alysia Zarbo. I have worked at Henseler Orthodontics since September 2011. I graduated in 2002 from Dakota County Technical College with a Dental Assisting degree and I have been in Orthodontics ever since. I enjoy being in this field because I love seeing the confidence people have when they see their new smile. I am so lucky to be a member of this wonderful team with such fantastic people.
I live in Hastings with my husband Nick and our daughter Samantha. I enjoy photography, BBQ’s, volleyball, going on walks, movies, music and spending time with my family and friends.
Hi, my name is Beth. I have been in the dental field for over 25 years, and had the pleasure of working at Henseler Orthodontics for about 12 years. I couldn’t ask for a better place to work or nicer people to work with. I enjoy meeting and getting to know all of our patients and being part of creating beautiful smiles.
I currently live in Woodbury. I enjoy summertime, movies, exploring new places to have dinner and spending time with my friends and family, especially my grandkids, Payton and Nolan.
Hello, my name is Katie. I have been an orthodontic assistant and worked for Henseler Orthodontics since 2003. I received my clinical training at St. Cloud Technical College with an Associates Degree. What I most enjoy about orthodontics is the excitement our patients have when they see their smile after braces. What I most enjoy about working for Henseler Orthodontics is the friendships we create with each other and our patients. It is a very fun and rewarding atmosphere to work in.
Outside the office I enjoy spending time with family and friends. My favorite time of the year is summer. In the summertime I enjoy the sun, cabins and barbeques. When I am not outside I enjoy reading or catching a movie.
